Growing lichen

I have many photos and snippets from happenings in my life that it would be lovely to share with you. What I am terrible at is making time to edit/resize/compose them all into a palatable form. Life is trundling forwards and I feel if I stand still for too long I will start growing lichen. I think it's important to look back and reflect, but I combine this, unplugged, with long walks in the woods. If I didn't, I wouldn't have taken this photograph of lichen.

Thought

{Found eggshells photograph taken with a Polaroid 250 Land camera.}

...

"Does knowing mean nothing to you, unless somebody else knows that you know it?"

{Persius, Satires, I, xxiii; via Michel De Montaigne, On Solitude.}

Reading On solitude I'm amazed how truly timeless Michel De Montaigne's words and ideas are; given that he was writing during the Renaissance, they are as fresh as today.
Plus the new penguin book covers are beautifully purple and tactile.
